Antico Tascaiuolo Knife
The Tascaiuolo folding knife is 18 cm long and its handle is made of precious wood; its brushed c70 steel blade measures 8.5 cm and is fitted with a traditional springless closing system.
The Tascaiuolo knife
This type of folding knife was mainly intended for children and, together with others, is one of the so-called turned knives, due to the fact that the handle is made on a lathe. Tascaiuolo knives were produced in large numbers in Scarperia and were sent to Rome in 1911 on the occasion of an exhibition that had as its theme the articles produced in this town of the Mugello. Even today, a collection of these Tascaiuoli knives are kept in the National Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions in Rome.
