Deer Antler Rasolino Knife
The handle of the simple and unadorned Rasolino folding knife is made from a solid stock piece, which is centrally recessed to house the blade and spring and may be in ox horn, deer antler or precious olive wood.
The typical prized knife of Sicily
The Rasolino regional knife with fine deer antler handle is typical of Sicily, more precisely of the Catania area, and it owes its name to the shape of the blade, which resembles a razor. This knife became widespread following the Giolitti law of 1908, which severely restricted the carrying of sharp-tipped knives and gave rise to the production of various sheepsfoot blade models. The 3 mm brushed stainless steel blade is slightly curved backwards and the grind has also led to it being called a razor blade knife.
