The Fiorentino is a 20 cm long folding knife, the handle is made of fine buffalo or ox horn and the ferrules and bands are finished in hand-engraved silver. The brushed blade is 9 cm long and is equipped with a traditional simple spring closing system.
The noble pocket gem
Produced since the early 1800s, this typical Scarperia knife has always been appreciated for its practical and lightweight qualities. The Fiorentino's handle is made from a single solid block of material; in the case of ox horn, this means using the entire tip, which is recessed to house the blade and the spring without any internal metal movement. The bolster bands are made from a pair of nickel silver, silver or brass plates fitted to the horn handle, filed flush and engraved. The handles of deer antler models bear a lily motif, the famous emblem of the city of Florence. A pair of engraved ferrules on the Fiorentino's handle butt, typical of this model, elegantly complete the look of one of the most beautiful and fascinating Italian knives.
