The multi-purpose knife for hunting and mushroom gathering
A typical Tuscan hunting knife, the older models were equipped with extractors, which disappeared with the advent of modern rifles. In Scarperia, it was already in production and use since the early twentieth century, it has a large 9 cm long leaf-shaped blade in brushed stainless steel and probably derives from older versions. This is a spring-loaded knife with liner-construction handle usually fitted with fine cow-horn or wooden scales; it is particularly sturdy and popular for uses other than hunting, such as this version with double blade specific for cleaning the mushrooms.
