The handle of the Scarperia Zuava knife is made with fine deer antler and bears an ink-engraved lily motif that confers a mark of hand-crafted distinction. This folding knife has a 9 cm long and 3 mm thick brushed stainless steel blade with a traditional simple spring-loaded assisted closure; the liner-construction handle is made with ox horn scales and convex bolsters.

The Zuava of Scarperia, is a historic knife whose name recalls that of a legendary Napoleonic military corps, the Zouaves. Exclusively handmade since the late 19th century, it is an undisputed symbol of Scarperia's centuries-old knife-making tradition. Revered as an invaluable implement for cutting, eating, working and hunting, as well as an inseparable, close friend, it was jealously treasured and treated as a very personal item. It would share people's daily lives through entire generations until it became utterly unserviceable.
