The traditional Scarperia Deer Antler Handle Zuava Knife
The Zuava of Scarperia, is a historic knife whose name recalls that of a legendary Napoleonic military corps, the Zouaves. Exclusively handmade since the late 19th century, it is an undisputed symbol of Scarperia's centuries-old knife-making tradition. Revered as an invaluable implement for cutting, eating, working and hunting, as well as an inseparable, close friend, it was jealously treasured and treated as a very personal item. It would share people's daily lives through entire generations until it became utterly unserviceable. The Magnum version, with a 3 mm thick and 11 cm long stainless steel blade, is a sturdy and well-balanced knife, which remains easy to handle with its 110 g weight. In the best tradition, the handle is made of polished natural deer antler scales.
