The construction

Our steak knives are made entirely by hand, the blades are forged, obtained from a single hot-worked steel ingot by deforming the metal material, then tempered and finished. The handles made from a single horn tip or from a single block of resin or wood, are expertly handcrafted by removing material, the manufacturing process ends with polishing of the handle and sharpening of the blade.

The various types of handles

Our collection of table and steak knives is made using natural materials selected from various types of for the handles precius woods exotic Such as ebony, wengè, snake wood or woods local as olive wood, boxwood or juniper. We use the finest expertly selected horns as the final tip of the horn of ox, buffalo or deer. A continuous research of natural materials has allowed us to work rare horns of springbok, orice and deer. If you prefer washing in the dishwasher to hand washing, we use synthetic materials, in particular special and beautiful resins suitable for the high temperatures of the dishwasher.

The set

With all our table knives it is possible to create personalized sets, from two "Him & Her", the classic wooden boxes of 6 or 8 pieces or combined with forks, spoons and forged spoons in boxes of 12 or 24 pieces. Care and maintenance

When it comes to cleaning steak knives, a wash by hand, if this were possible, the knives with synthetic handles can be washed in the dishwasher by carrying out a light and not too aggressive wash while for horns and woods it is absolutely not recommended both for high temperatures and for the substances contained in the detergents, which they could irreparably alter the knife. For proper cleaning and maintenance of natural materials, it is sufficient after each use, to wipe the entire knife with a damp cloth and dry quickly, avoiding keeping the object wet for a long time.

The duration of the cut

The duration of the cut of the steak knife will be a consequence of a use appropriate to nature itself; however, it will be possible to maintain the effectiveness of the cut for longer by using a flintlock or a fine-grained stone correctly and despite this, after a certain period, it will be necessary to entrust the knife to expert hands to be able to sharpen it.
